1. What a Cookie Is

A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser. Basic functions such as staying signed in do not work without them.

2. Strictly Necessary Cookies

Required for the site to work, and set without consent. You cannot sign in or complete a booking without them.

access_token / refresh_token: Keeps you signed in. Cannot be read by scripts in the browser.
x-guest-id: Tracks the booking of a visitor who has not created an account.
x-pending-booking: Lets you return to a booking you did not finish.

3. Preference Cookies

Remember choices you made. They hold no personal data and only read back what you told us.

NEXT_LOCALE: The language you chose.
PICKROTA_DISPLAY_CURRENCY: The currency you want prices shown in.
pickrota_cookie_consent: Your choice on this page. Stored even if you decline — otherwise you would be asked again on every visit.

4. Analytics Cookies

Used only if you accept. These are Google Analytics cookies (_ga and related) which let us understand in aggregate how visitors use the site.

Until you accept, these cookies are not written and Google Analytics does not measure anything. Declining does not restrict any part of the site.

5. Changing Your Choice

You can change your choice at any time from the cookie notice at the bottom of the page. You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings — but blocking strictly necessary cookies makes signing in and completing a booking impossible.
